Greetings,

I am Byron Smith. I just started blogging but have been writing for years. I began posting devotionals on Facebook, hoping to be encouraging during Covid. I never felt at peace about Facebook some of which is due to my own vanity, and the rest was it became such a distraction. Also, I did not want to become like a pubescent youth anxious to see how many likes and hearts and comments I received which I actually came close. Yet, I could still feel the tug to write and share; hoping to be an encouragement and show that all of us have struggles to contend with in this life.

So, here we are sharing and learning about the Lord. I have a Masters degree in English and a Masters degree in Biblical and Theological Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary. I worked in the business world for roughly 40 years. I have been married to Mary for over four decades; we have two daughters and three grandsons. We make our home in the red-clay hills of North Louisiana.
